Blossom Academy is not responsible for any loss of income, accommodation or travelling costs students may incur due to the cancellation of courses.

In line with new legislation, consumers may wish to visit the following website in the event of any dispute European Online Dispute Resolution.

Cancellation of Courses

In Person Courses

In the event of a genuine reason for cancellation (proof of which may be required); of a confirmed training date notified prior to the booked training date, a request for a date transfer will be considered at the discretion of Blossom Academy (subject to availability). If successful, an administration fee of £25.00 per course date will be charged. Non-attendance where no prior notice is given will be handled at the discretion of Blossom Academy and may result in loss of course fees.

Should you be unable to attend a confirmed training date for medical reasons, a valid medical certificate covering the named student and day of the booked training will be required to waiver the fee to reschedule. Under medical or compassionate circumstances (proof of which may be required) and where immediate reschedule might not be possible; a credit for all or part of the course fee may be placed on file as a gesture of goodwill. Credits will be valid towards training courses only and run for a period of up to 6 months from the date of issue at which time the course fees would be forfeited. No refund of course fees can be issued.

In the first instance, please contact our team at info@blossom-academy.co.uk regarding your reschedule request (or non-attendance), who will respond within 24 working hours.

Group In Person Courses

Group courses can only run with 2 or more students. If you are the only student booked onto the course with 5 days to go, your course date will be rescheduled to a future date.

Models

The majority of our in person courses will require you to bring a model with you on the day (this will be detailed in your confirmation email). It is your responsibility to find a model to attend the course with you or let us know if you are unable to. If you turn up to the course without a model, it may mean you are not able to take part in a lot of the practical work and you will not be eligible to attend on a different day.

As a model attending our courses, you've accepted a complimentary treatment which will be completed by a trainee technician. Any breakages or issues will not be rectified by Blossom Academy following the training course. By attending this course as a model, you have not completed the training or received an accredited qualification.

Online Courses

All online courses are strictly non-refundable as we incur a registration fee for the online student portal for all online courses which we remain liable to cover regardless of whether the course is accessed and/or completed. Please ensure online courses meet your training needs, you have a suitable device connected to the internet through which to access the course/portal and are able to source the products/tools/models you require to complete the necessary case studies to pass the course. We may consider transferring students to one of our other online courses to the same value as goodwill, where a course is found to be unsuitable for an individual student; although this may be subject to an additional registration fee.

Named Student

Booked training is non-transferable to an alternative student. Please ensure the booking is made giving the correct name of the person attending the course at the time of making payment. Amendments to this will be chargeable at £25 per course date/person, where possible for a change to be accommodated and a minimum of 48 hours’ notice prior to the course date is required, in writing.

In the event that Blossom Academy should have to cancel your course for reasons outside of our control; Blossom Academy will endeavour to give students at least 24 hours’ notice of any cancellation by telephone and/or email. Blossom Academy is not responsible for any accommodation/travelling costs students may incur due to the cancellation of courses.

Minimum Student Age

We accept all students aged 18 years or over for our face to face training courses. With regret due to insurance reasons, we are unable to accept students aged under 18 years on the day of training for face to face courses. Please note most insurers will only provide public liability (beauty therapist) insurance for working with the general public to those aged 18 or over.

Confirmation of Bookings

Once you have booked a training course you will receive an email within 24 hours to confirm the booking (for bookings made within office hours. Outside of these hours; confirmation will be sent on the next working day). For online courses, your confirmation of booking will include your registration details for your online portal to access your course. For in person training, your confirmation of booking will include the date you have booked, the time of your course, the remaining balance to pay and the address of your training.

Should a receipt for payment be required, please request this by emailing info@blossom-academy.co.uk at the time of booking or within 12 months of completing the training. Beyond this time, receipts cannot be issued.

We recommend students to access the portal and download/save a copy of their fully comprehensive manual as soon as possible. Once purchased, you will have lifetime access to your online course.

By accepting the terms presented when first logging in to the Student Portal, you confirm acceptance that this will expire your cooling off period immediately (if applicable). Once you have accessed the Student Portal, no changes will be possible to make to your enrolment. Please check the details given on your first login and update these as required before accessing the portal to ensure all details are correct on our system for you. Please note it is important to make timely progress with your online course. If you encounter any difficulties, please contact our Support team without delay who will be happy to assist – info@blossom-academy.co.uk.

Students are responsible for keeping their login details secure and private. Students must also ensure they have suitable access to the internet and hardware (pc, mobile phone, iPad etc.) in order to access and complete their course. No refunds can be issued due to failure to ensure this before booking. Any issues with gaining access should be reported to our Support team to ensure you are able to access and complete your course.

Online courses require completion of theory tests and some case studies at home (for which you will need to work on friends/family and have access to basic products at home). Theory tests are completed through the online portal. A pass mark of 70% or above is required for each test but these can be retaken online for free and as many times as needed until you pass. Case studies can be submitted by uploading within your student portal. Once case studies are received, these will be evaluated by our Assessor. You will receive feedback and/or your certificate uploaded to your portal within 10 working days of submission. Our Support Team are on-hand by email to assist you throughout your studies and beyond.
